Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell)

COEP Tech’s Entrepreneurship Cell (E-Cell) is a student-led initiative supported by the institute and guided by experienced faculty mentors. It is dedicated to fostering a strong culture of entrepreneurship and innovation on campus by encouraging students to explore start-ups through a wide range of engaging programs.

As COEP Technological University’s pre-incubation center, the E-Cell provides structured mentorship to students with innovative ideas. It supports them at every stage of venture development, from ideation and proof-of-concept development to business model formulation, prototyping, and design. In line with the recommendations of the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, its activities are guided by industry experts, alumni, the Director of COEP Tech, patent attorneys, and professionals from leading incubators.

To emerge as a model institution driving positive transformation across India by nurturing young entrepreneurs as catalysts for rural and urban development. We envision a self-sustaining, scalable, and impactful ecosystem that empowers innovation, leadership, and inclusive growth.

MISSION

To empower students to explore entrepreneurship through early-stage exposure, structured learning pathways, and guided mentorship. We help transform ideas into clearly defined problem statements, validated concepts, and execution-ready projects, enabling students across disciplines to take confident steps toward start-ups, innovation, and future leadership.

What We Do?

• • Events and Competitions

    • Every academic year, the E-Cell organizes more than five initiatives, led by Pune StartUp Fest, our annual entrepreneurial conclave featuring start-up expos, keynote sessions, competitions, and networking opportunities. The E-Cell Meetup further promotes collaboration and knowledge exchange among institutions across the country. These initiatives are complemented by business plan competitions, finance challenges, and advertising and marketing contests.

  • Learning and Expert Engagement

    • Workshops, masterclasses, and expert-led sessions expose students to various aspects of entrepreneurship and venture creation, including finance, digital marketing, intellectual property rights, research and publications, product development, and pitching. These sessions are conducted by industry professionals, accomplished entrepreneurs, content creators, and distinguished COEP alumni.

  • Start-up and Innovation Support

    • Early-stage innovators receive structured mentorship, opportunities for idea validation, platforms to pitch their concepts, and strategic guidance to develop their ideas into scalable and sustainable ventures. High-potential ideas are supported as they progress toward advanced incubation programs.

  • Industry and Inter-College Networking

    • Through collaborations with founders, alumni entrepreneurs, and industry experts, as well as inter-collegiate meetups and networking forums, the E-Cell provides students with real-world exposure and connects them with student innovators from institutions across India.

• Organizing 5+ flagship events and competitions every year.
• Conducting regular expert-led sessions, workshops, and masterclasses featuring industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and alumni.
• Developing skills in business strategy, finance, marketing, teamwork, leadership, and decision-making.
• Strengthening inter-collegiate collaboration with institutions across India.
• Providing continuous mentorship and support for student-led start-up ideas.
• Strengthening industry–academia linkages through alumni engagement and ecosystem partnerships.
