ANRF-PAIR Project Review Meeting with Prof. Gadre

The ANRF-PAIR (Partnerships for Accelerated Innovation and Research) initiative aims to strengthen the research and innovation ecosystem in India by fostering collaborations between established research-intensive institutions (Hub) and emerging institutions (Spoke). Under this initiative, COEP Technological University serves as a Spoke institution in partnership with IIT Bombay as the Hub institution.

Under the ANRF-PAIR program, COEP Technological University is currently executing ten research projects across three thematic areas: Energy and Sustainability, Advanced Materials, and Industry 4.0. The projects span diverse domains, including Electrical Motor Design and Control, Power Electronics, Green Hydrogen, Sustainable Buildings, Energy Materials, Functional Ceramics, Opto-electronic Materials, Signal Processing and Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Digital Twin technologies. The total sanctioned budget for COEP-TU under the ANRF-PAIR initiative amounts to ₹19.04 crore.

As part of this initiative, the first quarterly review meeting of the ANRF-PAIR Project involving COEP Technological University (Spoke) and IIT Bombay (Hub) was held on 3 June 2026 at COEP Technological University. The meeting was honoured by the presence of Prof. V.M.Gadre, Program Director, ANRF-PAIR IIT Bombay Hub, along with Prof. Sunil Bhirud, Vice Chancellor, Dr D.N. Sonawane, Registrar, Dr S.P Mahajan, Director RIIL, and Prof. S.S.Mohite, Principal Investigator of the ANRF-PAIR Project at COEP. The review witnessed active participation from all Project Investigators (PIs), Co-Principal Investigators (Co-PIs), and project personnel associated with the initiative.

The meeting provided an excellent platform for discussion, knowledge sharing, and strategic planning between the COEP-TU Spoke and IIT Bombay Hub teams. Prof. Gadre appreciated the progress achieved thus far and offered constructive suggestions to further strengthen research activities, collaborations, and project outcomes under the ANRF-PAIR initiative.
