Dr. Dayaram Sonawane, Associate Professor in the Department of Instrumentation and Control Engineering at COEP Technological University, has assumed charge as the regular Registrar of COEP Technological University with effect from 11 June 2026 for a tenure of five years.
Following the conferment of the status of a State Technological University upon the erstwhile College of Engineering Pune (COEP) in June 2022 and the commencement of its functioning as COEP Technological University, Dr. Sonawane had been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Registrar. He has since played a pivotal role in establishing and streamlining the administrative framework of the University during its formative years.
With his extensive academic and administrative experience, Dr. Sonawane is expected to further strengthen the University’s governance and contribute significantly to its continued growth and excellence in higher education and research.
