Mr. Pradeep Deshpande is a management professional with a mechanical engineering background with more than 30 years of experience in the manufacturing industry. He holds a Management degree from Savitribai Phule Pune University and a Production Engineering degree from Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
He has contributed extensively to the Automobile Sector with Stellantis (formerly Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, a joint venture with Tata Motors) and to the Steel Sector with Kirloskar Ferrous Industries Ltd (formerly Indian Seamless Metal Tubes Ltd., – ISMT).
He brings expertise in Greenfield and Brownfield Projects with hands-on experience in projects planning, procurement, execution, operations & maintenance. Beyond infrastructure projects from inception to commissioning, he has led initiatives in workers training and implementation across critical areas such as Environment, Health & Safety (EHS), World Class Manufacturing (WCM) & ISO / QS/ OHSAS systems.
In addition to his corporate career, he has been actively engaged in academia, teaching Operations and Supply Chain Management to post graduate students at Bharati Vidyapeeth (BVDU), Symbiosis (SIBM) and presently COEP. His teaching interests include Operations Management, Supply Chain Modeling & Design, Digital Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma, Quality Management, Inventory & Warehouse Management, ERP Modules & Integration, World Class Manufacturing, Infrastructure Project Management, Business Process Re-engineering.
With his unique blend of industry leadership and academic engagement, Mr. Deshpande provides students with valuable insights into bridging theory with real-world practices in operations and supply chain management.
