The Department of Metallurgy and Material Engineering (MME) at COEP Technological University, Pune, established in 1948, is a pioneering center for metallurgical and materials education in western Maharashtra. The department is dedicated to developing skilled metallurgical and materials engineers to meet the evolving demands of the industry, particularly in light of the rapid globalization of the Indian economy. With strong support from a distinguished alumni network, including research scientists in advanced fields and managing directors of leading organizations, the department focuses on equipping students with cutting-edge knowledge and practical skills aligned with industry standards.
